ETHS Wins 4 State Awards in 2021

Awards of Recognition

It Takes a Region

The quality of programs and exhibits of the East Tennessee Historical Society has received numerous state, national, and in some cases international, recognitions.

In accepting these awards, ETHS gives credit to the larger team efforts that support our work. These include our generous sponsors, members, ETHS Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, families and members of the public who entrust us with their stories, artifacts and family records, our 45 Affiliate Chapters and numerous local organizations, and foundations.

Knox County and the Knox County Public Library deserve special recognition for their strong commitment to making the East Tennessee History Center a jewel in the crown of the region’s history. Their support for our shared mission makes our work possible.

No recognition would be complete without recognizing the contributions of Steve Cotham, manager of the magnificent Calvin M. McClung Historical Collection, and his staff, who are partners in all we do.
