Evaluating Historical Sources

Critically reading sources is deeply important for genealogical and historical analysis. Participants in this workshop will learn how to identify primary and secondary sources; interrogate the sources with five primary questions of historical analysis; and explore the types (and validity) of information that may be extracted from sources, including documents, newspaper articles, and maps.
