201 History in the Media Award & Award of Distinction

For the first time, an award winner(s) receives TWO awards in the same year!!  The Moore's won a History in the Media Award for their weekly radio show Old Town Cleveland.   The show was created by and is hosted by volunteers Ron and Debbie Moore to preserve and promote local history.  With guests and call-ins, the show explores a wide variety of topics, from national impact to family history.  Live streaming and social media have increased the show’s reach and impact.  For more information, visit the Old Town Cleveland website.

The Moore's also won an Award of Distinction for It’s a Dirt Track Life: Memories of Dirt Track Racing from Dawsonville to Gatlinburg which captures memories, moonshiners, and fans from the “glory years” of the sport.  An 80-minute documentary, the film includes interviews, old home movies, vintage photographs, and original music.
