Wallace Woodruff Baumann
W.W. Woodruff's Hardware Company, Civic Leader and Benefactor, Theater Authority
A former ETHS board member and a businessman with the family firm of W.W. Woodruff ’s Hardware Company, Wallace W. Baumann passed away in 2009 leaving a generous bequest to ETHS. The bequest has been added to the ETHS Foundation to support the organization's educational mission far into the future. Wallace was an authority on theater history, especially that of Knoxville, and was a leader in the campaign to restore the Tennessee Theatre, the city’s grand movie palace.
